Overview

The Department of State (DOS) has released the January 2024 Visa Bulletin. As with December 2023, USCIS will use the Dates for Filing chart for employment-based categories. The updates below reflect changes in employment-based categories.

What are the Changes?

In January 2024, there were some changes to employment-based categories from the December 2023 Visa Bulletin, which also used the Dates for Filing chart.

EB-1
China will advance five months to January 1, 2023. India will advance one year and six months to January 1, 2021. All other countries will remain unchanged.

EB-2
Most countries will advance one month and 14 days except for India, which will remain unchanged. China will advance to June 1, 2020.

EB-3
China will advance ten months to July 1, 2021, and all other countries will remain unchanged.
