- France temporarily closed visa application centers in three countries in Africa due to security concerns
The government of France temporarily closed Visa Application Centers (VACs) in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger on September 29, 2023. As a result, the French government will not process any visa applications, including student, artist, and research visa categories. The government of Mali responded by suspending operations of its visa centers located throughout France. For additional information and government support for French nationals aboard, check here.
