Beginning December 1, 2023, the government of Ghana will expand eligibility for visa-on-arrival applicants to include all travelers. As a result, travelers will not be required to apply for a visa before arrival during this time. These measures will remain in place until January 15, 2024. The waiver will allow travelers to acquire a 30-day single-entry visa upon arrival at the airport in Ghana.

What are the Changes?

The government of Ghana will allow all travelers entering the country from December 1, 2023, to January 15, 2024, to obtain a visa-on-arrival. According to the government announcement, these measures will help to facilitate entry of all visitors into the country throughout the holiday season.
