Key Points

  • The United Kingdom will require ni-Vanuatu nationals to obtain a visa before traveling to the UK

Overview

The United Kingdom (UK) government will now require ni-Vanuatu nationals to obtain a visa before traveling to the UK. These measures will apply to visit visas, work visas, and more.

The changes, which come into effect immediately, will apply to all ni-Vanuatu travelers to the UK. However, there is a four-week transition period until August 16, 2023, during which visitors who booked their travel before July 19, 2023, can still enter the UK.

Applications for visas can be made at a UK Visa Application Center, where applicants will provide valid passports and biometrics. The UK Government aims to process applications within 15 UK working days of receipt of the passport and biometrics, and applicants can apply up to three months in advance.

What are the Changes?

The government of the UK introduced visa requirements for Ni-Vanuatu nationals. According to the government, these changes will help to prevent border entry abuses.
